Just a year after it had launched its company-wide campaign to help Filipinos make the smart move, First Standard was recognized by an international award-giving body that recognizes excellence in the global financial community.
First Standard won two categories in the prestigious Global Banking & Finance Awards based in the United Kingdom: the Best Mortgage Financing Company in the Philippines and the Best Business Funding Company in the Philippines for 2020. These were given to recognize the company’s efforts in professionalizing its financial services and its unprecedented growth.
The Global Banking & Finance Awards is given by the world-renowned online and print industry magazine, Global Banking & Finance Review, which boasts a readership across 200 countries consisting of corporate leaders within Fortune 500 companies, major banks, financial institutions, stock markets, among others. The award selection process is strictly by invitation only. Past winners from the Philippines include Bank of the Philippine Islands, Megaworld Corporation, and Development Bank of the Philippines.
“More than the honor and pride these global recognitions have given our company, we are motivated to keep going and growing along the right track,” says First Standard President, Jacqueline Tan-Sainz. “It just shows that our mission to uplift Filipino lives is not only an inspiring company direction, but also a smart corporate decision.”
Last year, First Standard launched “The Smart Move” campaign with the aim of improving Filipinos lives through smart financial instruments. This included a refresh on its brand image and business processes to adapt with the ever-changing digital age. These awards are shared with all First Standard employees and clients in over 80 locations nationwide.
